Zirconia Crowns
All Crown & Bridge Milled In-House
All zirconia dental crowns and bridge cases are designed, milled, and finished in-house. The process begins with model making. Traditional impressions are turned into stone models by our C&B department before being scanned into our modeling software via a 3Shape benchtop scanner.
Next, our experienced technicians will design the crown and mill from one of two types of zirconia. All anterior crowns are milled from eMax zirconia by Ivoclar, while posterior cases are milled from Bruxzir zirconia.
Finally, all restorations are finished with a glaze or stain according to the specification of the dentist.
All zirconia crown and bridge restorations have a 5 day in-lab turnaround time.
Thin restoration walls possible
Due to the Zirconia’s high flexural strength of 850 and 1,200 MPa1 as well as its high fracture toughness the wall thickness of restorations can be significantly reduced. As a result, tooth-conserving preparation and conventional cementation are possible. You will benefit from a perfect balance between thin restoration walls and optimum translucency.

Now, thanks to the new BruxZir Shaded formulation, BruxZir restorations exhibit improved translucency and color similar to natural dentition, making them a restorative option in the anterior as well. Complete color penetration all the way through the restorations ensures greater shade consistency and prevents any shade changes after occlusal adjustment.
